About Me
Hello, I'm Chris Alvares, the iPhone expert, all-around internet Renaissance man, and emerging webmaster.
As I explored the web, I learned more and more about the power of web technologies. I first taught myself Flash Actionscript and HTML.
As I began to work a lot with Actionscript, I realized how powerful such a tool could be. I became more and more interested in object-oriented programming as I learned Java, JavaScript, PHP, and CSS in a 3 month time period. Most of these languages were self-taught through books are online tutorials.
After about 2 years of learning as much as I can, I took the Webmaster Certification test to prove to myself that I was ready to create custom web applications.
During my high school years, I was president of the Computer Club, and also helped design and create my high schools website.
At present, I am enrolled in the University of Texas studying Computer Science, as well as working to write the best iPhone applications on Apple's App Store. I also dabble in WebOS and Andriod development. I am always looking for development projects and working environments to further my experiences and to challenge myself.
